GHOST HOLE IV A HUGE SUCCESS!

I would like to thank all the artists who participated in the event, all the Ghost Hole Resident artists, Lisa and co. at Artscape for all their help making this event happen, Brain and his crew on the Ghost Ship, Jamie Shannon and his boat The Girlfriend, Adrian Dilena at Whippersnapper for leanding us sound equipment, Jesjit Gil at www.colourcodeprinting.com for the amazing job on posters/tickets and to everyone who came out (dispite the frankenstorm) and experienced Ghost Hole IV.

Without all of you I would not have been able to achieve my Halloween Dream!

Thank you for making this year SPOOKTACULAR!

(Ghost Hole Curator)

This year for Ghost Hole IV, there’s a new residency aspect to the event. As the curator, this is my first ever experience conducting a residency. I decided it would be a fun project to not only help facilitate this residency, but to also conduct interviews with it’s participants to showcase their projects and let guests get familiarized with their work and their process. I’ve just finished conducting the first two. Stay tuned for more interviews.

Its that time of year when the light begins to fade and the shadows come out to play. Through painstaking hours of divination and communing with spirits, this year’s Ghost Hole IV has determined to reveal itself on Toronto Island’s Haunted Public School. (aka Artscape’s Gibraltar Point Art Residency)

GHOST HOLE IV will be opening between these dates:
October 26th and 27th, 2012.

This October 2012, we are looking for creative ghosts and ghouls to activate the old public school by presenting artworks, photographs, installations, performances, dance, storytelling and other ritualistic means of activating the space.

Also this year, art-psychics and their mediums will be welcomed to rent spaces in Artscape and participate in the Ghost Hole 2 week residency prior to event.
